R8 Based Quick Change Tooling

By Royal Products

Now you can quickly and easily change tools on your CNC Express using this easy to use tool change system. The way this works is to simply install the main body part into your machines spindle and using the draw bar, tighten it in place just like you would a recular collet. You mount the cutting bits into your tool holders and pop them in with near perfect registration. On the computer side, you simply put an M6 tool change command in your program and switch tools in just a few seconds and continue machining with automatic tool length compensation. This saves wear and tear on your hands and increases the productivity of any machine that uses R8 collets.

Quick Change R8 Tooling Body

R8 Quick-Change Body

  • As simple to install as an R8 end mill holder.
  • High precision - Female taper of body and male taper of individual tool holders ground to .0002" TIR.
  • Makes changing tools a one handed operation.
  • Reduces clearance needed between the tool and workpiece when changing tools. This greatly reduces the amount of time spent moving the table or retracting the quill when changing the toolholders.
  • Tool holders are available in many bore sizes to accomodate your existing tools (3/8" tool holders are the most popular). A J6 chuck holder is available to match your CNC Express drill chuck.
